Nursery Saplings Learning Activities
Our Nursery Saplings class, have been engaged in various learning activities. They have explored their bodies and identified their different parts, with Mrs Attree reading a story to them about the functions of different body parts. The children demonstrated an understanding of where these parts are located and even practised expressing emotions using facial expressions.
Additionally, the children delved into colour exploration, where they named and recognised various yellow, red and blue. They used yellow puffy paint to create artwork, incorporating lemons and other items like bananas, sunshine, and mixed custard pies. An apple printing activity allowed them to recognise the colour red and make marks on paper, also sparking a discussion about the benefits of apples as a healthy food. We've also continued to explore blue, engaging in a water play activity where children poured and filled containers with blue water. They have been able to identify and describe various colours through hands-on play.
