We Are Proud to Receive the Schools for Nature Award
We are delighted to share that our school has been awarded the Schools for Nature certificate, recognising our ongoing commitment to protecting, restoring, and celebrating the natural world.
This national award — supported by leading conservation organisations including the RSPB, WWF, WWT, and the Woodland Trust — celebrates schools that take meaningful action for wildlife and biodiversity. The certificate itself is signed by Sir David Attenborough, making it a truly special honour for our community.
What We Did to Earn the Award
Over the past year, our pupils and staff have worked together to make our school grounds a richer, more welcoming place for nature. Some of our key actions include:
- Planting wildflowers to support bees and pollinators
- Creating bug hotels and mini‑habitats around the grounds
- Taking part in outdoor learning and nature‑based projects
- Encouraging children to observe, care for, and learn from the wildlife around them
- Completing wider environmental challenges such as the RSPB Wild Challenge
These activities have helped our pupils develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and the role they can play in protecting it.
A Whole‑School Effort
This award reflects the enthusiasm and dedication of our entire school community — pupils, staff, families, and volunteers. Together, we’ve shown that small, everyday actions can make a big difference for local wildlife.
We are incredibly proud of our children, whose curiosity, care, and creativity continue to inspire our environmental work.

We Are Proud to Achieve the RSPB Wild Challenge Silver Award

We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the RSPB Wild Challenge Silver Award, recognising the fantastic work our children and staff have done to support wildlife and care for the natural world.
The Wild Challenge is a national initiative run by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), encouraging schools to take meaningful action for nature through hands‑on activities, outdoor learning, and environmental stewardship. Earning the Silver Award shows that we have gone above and beyond in helping local wildlife to thrive.
What We Did to Earn the Silver Award
To achieve this award, our pupils took part in a wide range of nature‑focused activities, including:
- Creating habitats such as bug hotels and log piles
- Planting wildflowers to support pollinators
- Observing birds, insects, and seasonal changes
- Learning how to care for local wildlife
- Taking part in outdoor investigations and nature surveys
- Making positive changes to our school grounds to encourage biodiversity
These activities have helped our children develop a deeper understanding of the environment and the importance of protecting it.
A Celebration of Curiosity and Care
This award is a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of our pupils, who have shown real curiosity, care, and responsibility in their work with nature. It also reflects the commitment of our staff and wider community, who support and champion outdoor learning throughout the year.
