Year 3 and Reception Intake September 2026
We are delighted that you have been offered a place at Lightwater Village School for your child to attend from September 2026 and we are thrilled to be welcoming you to our wonderful school.
Starting school is a big event in a young child’s life and we carefully plan our induction programmes to support children settling happily into our school.
- We will be able to offer a full-time place for all children starting in Reception from September (after the initial transition period).
- Year 3 will start full time from Thursday 3rd September.

School Day Timings
Infants - Reception
Doors open at 8.30am - The register is taken promptly at 8.45am
The school day finishes at 3pm
Juniors - Year 3
Doors open at 8.30am - The register is taken promptly at 9am
The school day finishes at 3.15pm
School Lunches and Parentmail
Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home, alternativity hot School lunches are available daily at no cost for children in Reception, year 1 and year 2. For children in Nursery and years 3 to 6 lunches are charged at £2.70 per day. All lunches must be pre - ordered via parentmail a minimum of 3 days in advance. If your child has any dietary / allergy requirements please make sure you complete and return the above special diet request form as soon as possible.
You will receive an invitation to join parentmail in due course. Parentmail is the platform that we use for all comunications, including Pre ordering school Lunches, reporting absences and school trip information.
