Reception Ducklings & Butterflies
In Reception we have been learning all about growing and lifecycles. We had some eggs delivered to us. It was very exciting watching them hatch, and there was lots of debate as to whether they were chicks or ducklings. We looked at the shape of the beak and their webbed feet and decided they are definitely ducks. We loved letting them paddle in our water tray! Reception children were all very brave and had a go at holding the ducks.
We also had some caterpillars delivered at the beginning of the term. They got very fat very quickly, and then turned into chrysalis. We then waited very patiently for 2 weeks, and we were rewarded with some beautiful butterflies.
