Year 5 Wind Turbines
Mimi from Vattenfall recently came to visit year 5 to talk about wind turbines. Vattenfall is a market leader in wind energy and operates more than 1,300 wind turbines. The children learnt about how wind turbines are constructed and installed, their many benefits and future career options in the industry.
Children then got the opportunity to work in groups and construct their own wind turbines in a timed competition. They thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon!
