Forest School - Toasted Marshmallows

At Forest School we continued our theme of 'fire' in preparation for building a large campfire sometime in the future when the winds die down a bit. Today we focused on lighting the fire independently and using heat to toast marshmallows.  The activity was so good for our confidence and furthered our understanding of fire safety; it was yummy too!  We introduced Mrs Belsey to smores, can you believe she had never tried one before?!  She has said she will make them at home, now that she knows how good they are.
