Hammond pupils enjoyed a “School’s Out Fun Day” on Friday.
Led by the head boy and his committee of volunteers, Year 6 pupils organised the exciting event as an end of year celebration for all the children in the school.
The committee organised fun activities which can only be enjoyed when “school’s out”, including a drink tombola, a penalty shootout game, a treasure hunt, a guess the sweets in the jar competition, a guess the name of the otter competition, a tattoos and nail painting stand, a cake stall and loon bracelet stall, paper plane making activities, basketball shooting and a sponge the teacher/Bell family member.
It was fantastic to see our Year 6 pupils leading the event, helping their younger peers and having fun themselves.
The money raised will buy a sculpture and plaque, to be housed beside the school office, as a lasting memory of the year group.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported the event though helping out and donating time and supplies. Thank you to the amazing team of year 6 pupils for making this such a successful event for the school.
